Ferment Workshop

Begin your journey into fermentation, and join the old Crock & Cole team, with this hands-on one day workshop!

Taught by Mike, fermenter, and Dan, founder, you’ll learn the fundamental skills and techniques to begin creating nutritious and delicious fermented foods at home.

During the workshop you’ll be: guided through the theory of Lactic acid fermentation (lacto-fermentation); given the recipes to recreate some of your Crock & Cole favourites; and taught the confidence to put your own twist on things with whatever vegetables you may have at hand.

The course will run from 10:30 am — 3.30 pm, with refreshments provided, and a communal farm lunch, with different ferments to try.

This course is very much ‘hands-on’ where not only will we demonstrate the fundamentals, but you will get to have a go at making some seasonal ferments — of which you’ll take home two 1.5L jars of your own creation to nurture and enjoy.
