What is CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between growers and the community. Members commit to the farm for a whole season and receive a share of the harvest each week. This shared approach means the farm has the stability to plan and grow ecologically, without relying on distant supply chains or pushing production beyond what the land can support.

By supporting the farm directly, members make possible a style of growing that works with the soil and the seasons — without the use of artificial inputs, and outside industrial farming pressures.

Fresh vegetables such as broccoli, lettuce, and other greens are displayed in blue and black baskets on wooden shelves in a rustic setting, with a yellow basket of leafy greens in the foreground. There is a decorative bunting of colorful fabric triangles hanging above the shelves, and green ivy growing along the wall and ceiling.

As a member, you’ll receive a weekly share of fresh, seasonal vegetables grown here at School Farm. But CSA membership is more than the veg itself:

  • A living connection to the land and the seasons;

  • An understanding of what shapes each harvest — closely following the seasons, weather, and the health of the soil;

  • The knowledge that your food money stays in the local community, supporting livelihoods instead of supply chains;

  • A chance to take part in farm volunteer days and seasonal gatherings.

Members share the risks and the abundance: some years are generous, some are leaner — but the harvest is shared fairly among all.
